Courtney was a great asset as my daughter was applying to college. She immediately established a rapport and credibility with her which was crucial. She helped my daughter organize, prioritize, and express herself in a more compelling and clear voice. She stayed on top of deadlines to ensure there was no last-minute crunch. And most importantly, she was an absolute pleasure to work with every step of this stressful journey. We were thrilled that we had Courtney and recommend her enthusiastically!

Courtney began working with my daughter, Aerin, to develop her creative writing skills when she was just eleven years old. Aerin loved her time with Courtney. Through their work together, Aerin excelled so much she earned entrance to a national writing competition. When it came time to write college application essays, Courtney was the natural choice. Always encouraging and patient, Courtney was able to draw out Aerin’s voice. She helped Aerin develop her own story and gently guided her towards maximum self-reflection. Courtney’s attention to detail both grammatical and structural is outstanding. During the course of their six years working together, Courtney was an incredible mentor to Aerin and I eagerly anticipate her work with my younger daughter. I highly recommend her!

Working with Courtney not only helped me on a creative front, but also on an editing front. I can confidently say that Courtney strengthened my editing abilities, which was tremendously helpful throughout high school and is even now in college. She taught me to ask questions about everything I write or edit, to always see what more could be done to make a piece even stronger. Courtney was also extremely helpful in guiding me through college application essays. She kept me organized throughout the process, but most importantly helped make my voice shine. Courtney is an incredible mentor to me and I couldn't be more thankful!

I worked with Courtney as I was applying to colleges during the fall of my senior year. Courtney made me feel confident about my writing by helping me better communicate my ideas and opinions. She was quick to get back to me with corrections on my work and kept me to a productive writing schedule. I enjoyed working with Courtney because I knew she was invested in my success and in helping me find my voice as a writer.

I emailed Courtney (in New York) at the beginning of my busy undergraduate semester (in Maryland) to help with graduate school admissions essays. Our Skype meetings allowed for us to get to know each other, as well as to elaborate on and clarify ideas I wanted to express in my essays. Courtney provided very useful feedback and demonstrated various ways in which I could make my essays more concise and better organized. I really appreciated the help she provided and definitely recommend her to other students looking for a credible, highly organized, and friendly writing coach.

My son, Jack, thought Courtney was wonderful to work with and very helpful to him in all aspects of the college application essay process. She brainstormed with Jack to come up with great ideas for his essays. She helped him organize his thoughts and fine-tuned his work. Courtney's attention to details and deadlines is exceptional.
